Display Objects Toolbar Overview
Introduction
The View > Toolbars > Display Objects Toolbar provides icons for controlling the objects displayed in the Model View. Brief descriptions of commonly used Display Objects Toolbar icons are shown in Figure 1:
- The Display Points icon: enables/disables the display of point objects.
- The Display Nodes icon: enables/disables the display of node objects.
- The Display Systems icon: enables/disables the display of system objects.
- The Display Curves icon: enables/disables the display of curve/wireframe objects.
- The Display Surfaces icon: enables/disables the display of sheet body/solid body surface objects.
- The Display Elements icon: enables/disables the display of elements.
- The Display Contact Zones icon: enables/disables the display of contact zone objects.
- The Display Fasteners icon: enables/disables the display of fastener objects.
- The Display Links icon: enables/disables the display of link objects.
- The Display Cracks icon: enables/disables the display of crack objects.
- The Display Text icon: enables/disables the display of label objects that have been defined by the user.
- The Display Mesh Layers icon, only applicable for hand (manually) meshed elements, enables/disables the display of Parent (original), Final (after h-discretization/laminate stack assignment), or other intermediate mesh layers (Figure 2). Note: model attributes, such as loads and constraints, may only be assigned to parent elements.
- Clicking on the Display Objects icon will display the Objects dialog. The Objects dialog contains options for drawing specific object types, object labels, object ranges and object sets.

- Clicking the down arrow of the Display Objects icon (Figure 3) allows the user to draw specific object types (e.g. Points Only, Nodes Only, etc.) or all object types (All Objects).
Note: Holding Ctrl while clicking any object icon in the Display Objects toolbar (with the exception of System, Contact Zones, Cracks, Fasteners, and Text) will display only that object. Additionally, holding Ctrl while clicking the Display Objects icon will enable all object types.
