The following workflow is outlined:
  1. Open existing 3D-Fracture Handbook model (CrackOpenHole-ResidualStresses.scw)
  2. Add parameters, convert material to elastic-plastic, and modify the model boundary conditions for a cold-work simulation
  3. Solve a linear solution, and then solve the cold-work simulation events via incremental plasticity
  4. Use BRS mapping to map the cold-work solution to a new part
  5. Assign BRS load and remote traction, convert material to linear-elastic, and modify constraints to represent the crack face
  6. Solve a linear analysis and extract SIF's/J-integrals

Using Solution Configurations + Parts and the StressCheck BRS Module to:
  • Solve a Cold Working (CX) analysis via Incremental theory of plasticity and Nonlinear Events
  • Map the post-CX residual stress distribution to the reamed part using BRS mapping
  • Apply the BRS-mapped stress distribution to the reamed part as a new load case
  • Solve for stress redistribution in the reamed part.
